Well I survived the Relay For Life event! I had a blast, but staying up for over 24 hours is tough. For those of you who don't know what Relay For Life is, it is a national event which takes place each year across the nation. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives. The theme for this year's event was "There's No Place Like Hope", therefore the Wizard of Oz costumes you see some of us wearing. This was my second year volunteering for this event. I felt honored and privileged to be asked to do all the audio and video for the event again this year! Besides all the ceremonies and announcements, I was involved in music, dancing, Karaoke and showing the movie The Wizard of Oz.
Happy New Year

Looks like it went very well! congrats again. I love the ruby slipper running shoes.
Thanks for the pictures. Your costume is pretty cool, but weren't you hot?
What were some of the memorable karaoke songs?
The costume wasn't very thick and was a weave that let air through pretty good. Didn't overheat at all. There wasn't a lot of people doing Karaoke, just the kids youi saw in the video. Those were the only songs.
Love the hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like everything went really well! I really like your costume. You are like the coolest! Not many guys would wear that 8) I loved looking at these pictures..thanks for posting them!
ok I am just now realizing I think. Who is the Dorothy dancing with Muriel?
Julia Buenafe, she was on the RFL Committee. She was in charge of the entertainment.
Looks like you had a great time! It also looks like someone replaced the alcohol usually required to make sane people do karaoke with valium. Great costume, glad everything went well for you. I had my own 42 hour marathon...looks like yours was a lot more fun than mine!
